About the scheme

As part of the planning consent granted for the new Bloor Homes development on Barbrook Lane in Tiptree, highway improvements are to be carried out.

Work began in early 2022 to construct a new junction on Barbrook Lane and resurface the road. While works to install a raised table at the junction between Barbrook Lane and Grove Road remains outstanding.

Traffic management will continue to be adjusted according to the activities being carried out, to ensure the safety of the public and the workforce.

The works

The remaining phase of the work is due to begin on 13 February 2023, with an anticipated completion date of early April 2023. During this time a road closure will be in place 24 hours day on a section of Grove Road where it meets the junction with Barbrook Lane.

The developer will be working collaboratively with third party organisations to enable use of the road closures for their service connections to the new development where possible, thus reducing the likelihood of future inconvenience to residents.
