White Hart Bridge - Scheme update

Works to replace the bridge deck at White Hart Bridge have begun as planned. The site compound is in place and the temporary pedestrian footbridge has been installed.

As part of the first phase of works, the concrete fill within the deck on the east side of the bridge has been removed and the installation of the temporary carriageway support is in progress.

Upcoming works include carrying out excavations behind the abutments to install the remaining temporary supports and abutment strengthening. The existing steel deck troughs will be prepared to receive the new reinforced concrete deck slab in the coming weeks.
