Countryside Properties are planning to carry out overnight works at the Boreham Interchange in Chelmsford week commencing 13 April 2026.
These works are required to address remedial repairs, surfacing and lining.
To minimise local disruption, these works will be phased and carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5am with the support of overnight road closures and temporary traffic lights.
Arrangements are also being made to ensure that emergency services will be supported through the works.

Phase three - Saturday 16 May (1 night - 9pm to 5am)
Link between A131 Drovers Way Roundabout and Generals Lane Roundabout, and Beaulieu Parkway
A temporary overnight closure will affect northbound traffic on Drovers Way towards the Generals Lane Roundabout as well as traffic in both directions on A131/Beaulieu Parkway.
Appropriate diversions will be in place.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys. Please note that details may change depending on weather conditions or if unforeseen issues arise.
Information has been passed on to the bus operators. First Bus services that use the Boreham Interchange will complete their final journeys before 9pm. Full timetable details for First Bus can be found by following the provided link.
