As part of the planning condition (reference: 202025) granted by Colchester City Council, Persimmons Homes are required to carry out highway works.
The works include improvement and upgrades to the public highway to facilitate new access to the development and improve sustainable transport.
Footway improvements are planned to take place this autumn in Colchester City Centre, funded by Department of Transport HS2 budget and supplemented by Colchester City Council.
Essex County Council are developing proposals to better connect key points in the city through improved walking and cycling infrastructure.
St Botolph’s Circus Roundabout is located to the south of Colchester town centre, next to Colchester Town railway station. It sits on the A134 Southway at its junction with St Botolph’s Street, Mersea Road and Magdalen Street.
