Colchester Road, Chelmsford
In 2010 planning permission was granted by Chelmsford City Council to construct between 650 and 750 dwellings to the land around Belstead Farm Lane. The works for the development are currently underway. In order to manage the increased traffic, the developer was required to widen Colchester Road to two lanes in to Chelmsford between Boreham interchange and the Sainsbury’s roundabout.
Duffill Bridge, Westerings, Bicknacre

Repairs and strengthening works to Duffill Bridge have been planned to take place during March 2024.  During this time, staff will be mostly working underneath the structure.

Oasis Bridge refurbishment, Springfield Road / Chelmer Road Chelmsford
Oasis Bridge on the B1137 Springfield Road in Chelmsford, and carries the A138 Chelmer Road will be refurbished during 2021. These works will include bearing replacement works as well as a survey to assess and repair defects to the concrete abutments New vehicle safety barriers known as a vehicle restraint system (VRS) will also be installed as well as inspection platforms to support future surveys. Works will be carried out in phases, with traffic management altered according to the activities being undertaken.
