The Essex Standard Drawings set out the design standards that shall be applied to the construction of new roads and alternations to existing roads across the County of Essex.

For further guidance on the layout and design of roads reference should be made to the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB) and Manual for Streets (MfS).
