You can use a ticket to hop on and off any park & ride bus all day. For example, get off at the hospital or rail station, then get back on to go to the city centre, then back out to the park & ride site. The ticket can only be used once from a park & ride site.

Group fare (up to 2 adults and 3 children):
- Short hop fare between is only valid between Anglia Ruskin University and City Centre: £1.00 only available on bus payable to the driver.
Download 'First Bus ‘MTickets' app from your app store for speedier boarding. Machines are also available at site which accept cash and card payments for (weekly and monthly only).
MiPermit is coming soon more details to follow. For concessionary bus pass users unable to download the app, cash and contactless can be paid to the driver, but you will need to register your vehicle in the Park and Ride building each time you visit.
Park and Pedal
Bring your bike with you, leave your car at the site and cycle to your destination. Park and Pedal is £3 per day. We have bike racks should you chose to leave your bike at site overnight. We also offer Secure cycle lockers £20 per month, which includes free parking. Please visit Bikeaway to secure your locker.

Chelmer Valley Park and Ride is located on the A130 east of Essex Regiment Way, accessed from the Pratts Farm Roundabout.

Please note: Cars can exit the site after closing automatically through the barrier system. For out of hours emergencies customers can contact Chelmsford City Council’s CCTV Control Centre on 01245 606 299.
Due to a national driver shortage, there will be a reduced service on the Chelmsford Park and Ride from Monday 26 September 2021. This is to support other services in the commercial network.
