20 March 2024 Advance Notice

Dovercourt Public Realm Scheme - Overnight site investigation surveys

A series of drainage surveys and trial holes will be carried out along Kingsway and the section of High Street between Holly Close and Station Road in Dovercourt throughout April and May 2024.

The surveys will start on Sunday 7 April 2024 and are needed to give us a better understanding of existing site conditions to help inform the next stages of our design work for the Dovercourt Public Realm Scheme.

All surveys will take place overnight, Sunday to Thursday, between 7pm and 6.30am to limit disruption. For Thursday night works, all traffic management will be cleared by 5am on Friday mornings to avoid interference with the weekly market. No surveys will take place overnight on Fridays or Saturdays.

Varying traffic management will be in place during the surveys, including a full overnight road closure on Sunday 14th April, with others potentially required. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place when necessary between 29 April and 18 May, to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Where full road closures are required, a signed diversion route will be in place via Main Road, Parkeston Road and the A120. The full diversion route can be found on the one.network website. Residents will be able to access their properties throughout the closures and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

All traffic management will be removed at the end of each shift to ensure the road can open as normal during daytime hours and to help minimise disruption. We will aim to keep noise to a minimum, with any noisier works taking place before 11pm.

Thank you for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
