About the scheme

As part of planning conditions for the development of properties on land to the east of Parsonage Road in Takeley (UTT/19/0394/OP and UTT/22/0152/DFO), improvements to the local highway are required. This includes the construction of a new roundabout to serve the new development of 110 dwellings to the west, as well as a new care home to the east.

A 3.5m wide shared cycleway link and parallel crossing designed to support pedestrians and cyclists will also be created. New street lighting will be installed, drainage works will take place and the existing 30mph speed limit will be extended to just north of the A120 bridge.

These works will be carried out by Stonebond Properties (Chelmsford) Ltd and their contractors Euro-City Group.
