Hoppit Bridge progress update

Good progress continues to be made on site and following the completion of the bridge deck removal the new precast concrete beams were lifted into place and successfully installed last week as illustrated in the pictures below.

In preparation for the next phase of works, we will be carrying out pouring of the concrete deck on the structure this week. Weather permitting.

Over the Christmas period there will be minimal activity on site but please be assured routine traffic management inspections will be carried out as normal. The temporary footbridge will also be checked regularly and where necessary will be salted. 

Arrangements are being made to carry out waterproofing activities on the structure during the first week of January.
