Welcome to the Highways Service Information Centre
The Strategy aims to improve safey and journey time reliability for all users of the A131. It consists of different measures at specific points along the route where problems have been identified or where demand is expected to increase.
The scheme location is between Marks Farm Roundabout, at the junction with the A120 and the A131, and the Suffolk County boundary, just south-west of Sudbury. The route covers 13.5 miles (21.6 km) with two roundabouts, three mini roundabouts, a signalised junction, two zebra crossings and a signalised pedestrian crossing.
At present planned start dates are unknown, however as soon as details are confirmed they will be available via this webpage (including details regarding traffic management arrangements, such as temporary closures), displayed on local signage and via our Twitter feed @essexhighway.
