Part closures on A120 Birchanger Roundabout

Part closures and traffic management are now in place on the A120 Birchanger as part of improvements to Junction 8 of the M11.

Some footways and bus stops are also closed near the roundabout under the management of contractor John Sisk & Son.

This will works on the roundabout, ultimately helping to improve safety and reduce congestion.

Part roundabout closures and traffic management measures

• On the East-bound approach to the roundabout, the right hand turn (exit 3) to Birchanger Lane to travel North-bound will be closed.
• On the West-bound approach to the roundabout, the right hand turn (exit 3) to the A1250 to travel South-bound will be closed.
• This month, narrow lanes will be installed on the Eastern approach of the A120 to the A120/A1250 roundabout.

Footway closures

• Footway on either side of Dunmow Road approaching the A120 roundabout.
• Footway which starts on Birchanger Lane and to the A120.
• Footway on the A120 approaching the M11 Junction 8 Roundabout.

Bus stop closures

• Both ‘Birchanger Green Services’ bus stops on Dunmow Road are suspended for the duration of the scheme.
