A129 Southend Road/Sun Street, Billericay - surfacing completed

During September 2023, sections of the A129 Southend Road, Sun Street, A129 London Road and Laindon Road in Billericay were programmed for machine surfacing improvements.

This treatment takes longer than other resurfacing options as it requires the original surface layer to be removed and replaced, however it does provide a deeper and more substantial surface which is well suited for heavy traffic. 

These works were successfully completed in phases and overnight to minimise inconvenience.  We would like to thank local residents and businesses for their patience and support while we worked to improve our roads.
