Alresford Bridge – bridge investigations completed ahead of schedule

Investigation works carried out on the weekend of 16 November 2024 were successfully completed on Alresford Bridge, with no requirement for a further closure for 23 November as originally planned.

Information obtained during these works will assist engineers to develop options for the bridge in the future.

In the meantime, please be assured that we consider the bridge safe for its current use and will continue to monitor it as part of our regular inspection programme.
