Alresford Bridge – weight restriction signage installation

Following a structural assessment, a 7.5 tonne weight restriction is being implemented at Alresford Bridge.

Arrangements have been made to install weight restriction signage along the diversion route. Works are due to start from Monday 23 January 2023 and will involve several temporary traffic management signals to be in place for a short period of time to install the signs in a safe manner.

Proposed dates and traffic restrictions are as followed:

Tenpenny Hill	Immediately west of the double roundabouts	26 January 2023	Four-way temporary traffic lights. Brightlingsea Road bus stops will be suspended. Thorrington Cross bus stop will be suspended. Temporary bus stops will be available in the area.
Clacton Road	Immediately east of the double roundabouts	26 January 2023	Two-way temporary traffic lights
