Closures on Elizabeth Way and Burnt Mill Roundabout delayed

A number of road closures that were planned for June to support work on the new Harlow Sustainble Transport Corridor scheme have been delayed.

The closures are required to enable critical drainage work to be undertaken and will require excavations across the highway.

The closures are expected to now take place on the following dates and times:

• Friday 21st June 2024 at 8pm until Sunday 23rd June at 5am.
• Friday 28th June 2024 at 8pm until Sunday 30th June at 5am.
• Friday 5th July 2024 at 8pm until Sunday 7th July at 5am.

Latest information and updates on when works at Elizabeth Way and Burnt Mill will be rescheduled will be made available here on the webpage.

Works on the new Sustainable Transport Corridor along the A1019, started recently, and will ultimately see the creation of a new rapid transit bus lane, as well as improved walking and cycling facilities, better connecting the town centre and supporting the future Harlow and Gilston Garden Town development.
