Ealing Bridge – installation of width and weight restrictions

A 3.5m width restriction and 7.5t weight restriction is in place on Ealing Bridge located on B183 Sheering Road, Harlow.  The bridge is reduced to one lane with traffic maintained by two-way lights. The restrictions will remain in place until longer term improvements are determined.

Restrictions are currently in place however, due to the weather conditions not all works were able to be completed.

On Friday 16 February 2024 an overnight road closure will be in place on B183 Sheering Road to complete the installation of the white lining and road gulley resetting works.

The installation of anti-skid surfacing has been delayed due to wet weather condition and it is programmed to undertake in April 2024. Until this, a temporary speed limit of 20mph will be in place.
