M11 Junction 8 scheme update

To support this scheme a Traffic Regulation Order has been submitted. to create a new set of Traffic Signals at the A120 junction with A1250 Dunmow Road and Birchanger Lane.

A Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is a legal order which enables a change to the highway and you can submit any comments on this proposal via email to: trafficregulation.order@essexhighways.org.

The proposed signals will include a staggered signal-controlled pedestrian/cycle crossing (Toucan type), the introduction of a 50mph Speed Limit Restriction on A120 Birchanger, A1250 Dunmow Road, and Birchanger Lane, the introduction of a 24-hour Clearway Restriction on A120 Birchanger, A1250 Dunmow Road and Birchanger Lane and the conversion of a shared, un-segregated footway/cycleway on A1250, Dunmow Road.
