Welcome to the Highways Service Information Centre
Advanced enabling works are now underway ahead of the construction of the planned Chelmsford North East Bypass.
The enabling works involve building a conveyor bridge, which will ultimately span the new bypass and enable the continued operation of an existing mineral quarry, Bulls Lodge, during construction and operation of the bypass.
New security gates have been put up at the site entrance, north of Beaulieu Parkway, and a sign has been erected on the approach to the roundabout to inform people about the works.
More information about the latest progress is available in the first edition of a regular new Chelmsford North East Bypass advanced works newsletter.
The newsletter is produced by the advanced works contractor, Octavius Infrastructure, and is available at the bottom of the Chelmsford North East Bypass webpage.
