Parkway, Chelmsford - surfacing to resume on northbound carriageway

Following surfacing improvements on the southbound carriageway of Parkway in Chelmsford November 2025, work has been programmed to restart on the northbound carriageway.

Work will begin on 27 February, and we aim to complete these improvements by mid-March 2025.

To ensure minimal disruption, all activities will take place at night between 9pm and 5am, with temporary road closures in place. No weekend work is currently planned.

Our phased approach, working from Victoria Road South towards Broomfield Road, will help reduce local inconvenience, and we'll adjust temporary restrictions, including diversions, based on the location of the works.

Our team are planning to start on Parkway where it meets Victoria Road South, and continue along Parkway in a northerly direction towards Broomfield Road.
