12 February 2025 Press Release

Temporary night closure at Allende Avenue A1019

On behalf of Essex County Council, Bouygues UK Ltd are undertaking essential works on Allende Avenue A1019 as part of the Harlow Sustainable Transport Corridor project.

As a result of these works, Allende Avenue A1019 will be closed in both directions between Burnt Mill Roundabout and Sainsbury’s Roundabout on the nights of 13th and 14th February 2024, between the hours of 8pm and 5am.

The road closure is required to carry out safety repairs to manhole covers located in between the northbound and southbound carriageways, with a full closure in both directions needed to ensure both the safety of the public and workforce.

Please note that these works are weather dependent, and dates may change subject to weather conditions.

Due to open excavations across the carriageway, there will be no access for vehicles, aside from the emergency services. However, there will be clearly signed diversion routes during these works.
