Transformational new Harlow junction remains on schedule

Work to deliver a vital new M11 Junction in Harlow is on track, with the transformational improvements due to open to the public in 2022.

Critical in helping to reduce congestion and boost the local economy, junction 7a is the largest new road-improvement project in the county for a number of years.

Work began in the summer and, through the implementation of Covid-19 measures to allow the site team to work safely, has been able to continue on schedule.

Once completed, the junction will connect to a widened Gilden Way via a new link road, ultimately creating a new east-west link through the town, helping reduce congestion, boost the economy and providing creating new public transport opportunities.
