About the scheme

A 7.5 tonne weight restriction is currently in place on Alresford Bridge, which carries the B1027 St Osyth Road over the railway line.

The bridge has limited structural capacity and therefore it is necessary for heavy vehicles to use alternative routes, which can be viewed on One.Network.

This temporary restriction is required for the safety of the public while we carry out investigations which will inform future options for the bridge.

Further information

Future information will be shared with local parish councils and this webpage.
